Quest’anno MV Agusta torna sul palcoscenico delle competizioni femminili con Lara Cordioli, grazie alla F4 messale a disposizione dalla Scuderia Carpi Racing e seguita direttamente dalla Lumia Motori. All’esordio di Vallelunga, la pilota mantovana si è cimentata nella classe Superstock1000 in ben due competizioni: il Campionato Italiano Motocicliste (femminile) e il Trofeo del Centauro (maschile).

Mentre quest’ultima gara, dove Lara ha conquistato l’ottava piazza, è stata sfruttata perlopiù come allenamento, tutta l’attenzione si è concentrata nel femminile: partita in griglia con il settimo tempo assoluto, la portacolori della S.C.R. è scivolata però alla curva Roma a pochi giri dal termine mentre si trovava al quarto posto; Lara è comunque ripartita e ha ricominciato a girare con gli stessi tempi nonostante forti danni alla leva del freno e al semimanubrio della sua MV. Recuperata qualche posizione, la pilota mantovana ha chiuso al sesto posto e commenta “mi dispiace molto per aver perso punti preziosi; purtroppo non ho potuto testare né la moto né le nuove gomme (Metzeler al posto di Dunlop) prima di questo weekend; la guida è completamente diversa e mi sono applicata per carpirne i caratteri salienti, lasciando in secondo piano il setup vero e proprio: un errore che mi è costato una caduta. Sono comunque contentissima perché la F4 mi piace molto e con l’ottimo lavoro di questa squadra ci siamo avvicinati al terzetto di punta fin da subito. Sono sicura che a Misano, pista che preferisco rispetto a questa, potremmo fare bene.”
Il team manager Gianluca Lumia ribatte “sono molto soddisfatto di Lara e devo ammettere di aver scelto bene: pochi piloti, dopo una caduta simile, sarebbero risaliti in sella tornando a girare con i tempi di prima nonostante i danni alla moto e, soprattutto, alla seconda gara della giornata. Ho messo una macchina da guerra su una moto da corsa e cercherò di far correre Lara in più competizioni possibili sia maschili che femminili, magari anche nel nuovo trofeo con la naked della casa varesina, la MV Agusta Brutale. Sarà un anno impegnativo ma che ci regalerà delle forti emozioni”.
